Our Story
Cambridge, home to the prestigious University of Cambridge, is famous for its stunning historic colleges, world-renowned minds and world-changing discoveries. Cantab Tours has been sharing that history with visitors since the 1970s, and we previously worked with Visit Cambridge for many years as their official guided tour provider.
Above all, our tours are designed to educate and entertain visitors both young and old — full of stories of the people, places and pranks that bring Cambridge, past and present, to life.
Meet Your Guides
Every Cantab Tours guide is a fully accredited, professionally trained expert in Cambridge's history.
Blue & Green Badge Accredited
Your tour is conducted by a professionally trained guide who holds a Blue or Green Badge awarded by the Institute of Tourist Guiding, the national professional body, and who is a member of the Society of Cambridge Tourist Guides.
Continually Trained
The Society of Cambridge Tourist Guides organises regular continual professional development training, so members always have up-to-date knowledge — and hold the correct, current insurance.
Not Students, But Locals
Our guides are not university students — the part-time course to become an official Cambridge guide takes almost a full academic year, which isn't practical alongside a degree. Many are Cambridge alumni or otherwise connected to the University, sharing real, lived knowledge of the city.

Our walking tours include daily public tours of historic Cambridge and the colleges, or a private tour arranged just for your group.

Best suited to individuals, couples or small family groups. Public tours run at scheduled times each day with a set itinerary, so anyone can turn up and join in.

Our Cambridge Highlights Tour is just £20 per person (£12 for children), and private tours start from £110 for up to 20 people.
